E-Invoice Guideline v4.9: Identification Details for Individual Buyers or Recipients

Paragraph 3.5.7 of the E-Invoice Specific Guideline (Version 4.9) explains how a supplier should complete an e-Invoice when an individual buyer or recipient provides only one type of identification.

  • Only a TIN is provided: Enter the TIN provided by the individual in the TIN field and 000000000000 in the identification card/passport number field.

  • Only an identification number is provided: Enter EI00000000010 in the TIN field and the individual’s MyKad, MyTentera, MyPR or MyKAS number in the identification number field.

Important: Do not leave the relevant fields blank. Ensure that the applicable TIN, identification number and code are entered accurately.
