Mr Chin Chee Seng

Mr Chin Chee Seng is an Approved Company Auditor, Tax Agent, and Chartered Accountant (‘CA’) of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) with over 27 years of experience in the financial market and corporate sector. With a long-standing reputation for providing superior expertise and advice to clients,

Mr Chin is not only a reputable speaker at various seminars but also a member of the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA), Institute of Internal Auditors Malaysia (IIA Malaysia), and Institute of Corporate Directors Malaysia (ICDM), Fellow Members of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia (CTIM), and a registered ASEAN CPA. Currently, he is serving on one of the Interview Panels for the Company Auditor’s Approval appointed by the Accountant General’s Department of Malaysia (AGD), and he is also an Independent Non-Executive Director and the Chairman of the Audit and Risk Management Committee of Autocount Dotcom Berhad.

Mr. Chin Chee Seng exhibits a steadfast commitment to the success of our clients, people, and the Firm. He specialises in consulting for many small to medium-sized businesses, including providing clients with management consulting services, auditing, tax planning, finance applications, employment acts, transfer pricing, business equity structuring advice, and other general commercial advice.

As a certified HRD Corp Trainer, Chin’s tax knowledge is in high demand, making him a frequent trainer and facilitator for tax workshops in Malaysia. He has spoken on various topics, including Malaysian Goods and Services Tax (GST), Sales and Services Tax (SST), Income Tax, Transfer Pricing, and Labour Law.

His points of view have been broadcast on television and published in the press.

Chin is also an author of several books on GST and has amassed over 50,000 followers on his Facebook fan page. Furthermore, he regularly contributes to the company’s website and blog, discussing the latest advancements in the field.

Jared Low

Group Executive Director

Jared is a highly accomplished and dynamic Group Executive Director at CCS, leading the Business Development and Transformation of the firm. He brings a wealth of experience and expertise in reshaping the firm’s direction to meet the evolving industry and professional needs.

Jared graduated from the prestigious Queensland University of Technology and is a member of CPA Australia and the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (“MIA”). He is also a qualified Chartered Accountant, demonstrating outstanding academic and professional credentials.

Before joining CCS, Jared worked at a Big 4 firm, PricewaterhouseCoopers (“PwC”), where he was responsible for auditing listed, non-listed, and multinational companies in various industries. His extensive experience in auditing has given him a deep understanding of various industries’ financial complexities and nuances.

Moreover, Jared has an impressive track record in handling various special engagements, such as IPO projects, Agreed-Upon Procedures, Due Diligence Reviews, Tax Planning, Tax Audits, Corporate Advisory, Transfer Pricing, and other special engagements. He has also assisted Small and Medium Enterprise (“SME”) companies in business performance analysis and company restructuring to adapt to the fast-changing market. Jared’s expertise and experience enable him to provide exceptional insights and solutions to clients, delivering value-added services beyond traditional auditing.

Jared’s proven leadership skills, strategic vision, and exceptional client relationship management skills make him a valuable asset to our team. Wong Woei Teng

Partner, Audit & Assurance

Wong is a partner with CCS and plays an important role there.

She is currently directing the Assurance Departments of the Firms to deliver high-quality services to clients and ensure the Firm’s consistency in upholding the quality of assurance engagements. She is responsible for ensuring that the Firm’s approach has been consistently adhered to across the whole Firm, and she works closely with the assurance team to accomplish this.

Wong acquired a Bachelor of Accounting degree from the University of Malaya, where she studied for her whole academic career. In addition, she is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (abbreviated as “MIA”), a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (abbreviated as “ACCA”), and she has registered to become an ASEAN Certified Public Accountant.

Wong first became a member of CCS in the year 2009. During her 14 years of expertise helping small and medium enterprises, she has worked in various industries, including construction, property development, and manufacturing.

In addition to the statutory financial audit, she has also participated in other engagements, such as the Agreed-Upon Procedure and the Corporate Tax Advisory. Throughout her years of service, she has been instrumental in reducing the number of disputes between taxpayers and officers and assisting small and medium enterprises in tax audit matters while attending to officers’ inquiries.

She has directed several GST implementation initiatives for corporations while providing internal training. During the implementation phase, she assisted a few businesses in resolving their GST registration issues by participating in a round table discussion hosted by the RMCD.

Vivian Lim

Director, Finance & Human Resource

Vivian is an exceptional HR and Finance Director who has been the backbone of CCS from the very beginning. She has played a vital role in ensuring that our firm is organised and effectively manages our team and clients’ needs. With Vivian by your side, you can be confident that your interests are in capable and trustworthy hands.

With over 17 years of professional experience with CCS, Vivian has established herself as a seasoned accounting, taxation, GST, and SST expert. As the leader of Client Relationship Management, Vivian has been instrumental in improving our firm’s client satisfaction levels. She has also led several projects to enhance our clients’ experiences and engagement with our firm.

Moreover, Vivian is a respected leader in the Personal Tax Division of our Firm, where she manages a broad portfolio of clients across various industries. Her profound knowledge and expertise in taxation make her a valuable asset to our clients.

Her expertise in event planning has enabled us to deliver high-quality seminars that provide value-added insights to our clients.

In addition to her impressive skill set, Vivian is proficient in HR and the Employment Act, providing invaluable assistance to SME business owners and individuals facing employment disputes. Her in-depth understanding of the Employment Act and HR practices has enabled her to provide sound advice to our clients, resulting in resolving disputes and the smooth running of business operations.

Furthermore, Vivian is highly skilled in payroll software, ensuring that our clients’ payroll needs are met precisely and accurately. Her expertise in using the latest payroll software has enabled us to deliver efficient and reliable payroll services to our clients, streamlining their payroll processing and reducing errors.

Edward Thun

Partner, Audit & Assurance

Edward is an Assurance Partner at CCS. He is also the leader of Quality Management and Technical of the Firm. His role is to uphold the audit quality and ensure the Firm is adhering to professional standards, legal and regulatory requirements when providing assurance services.

Edward graduated from University of Malaya with a degree of Bachelor of Accounting. He is a Chartered Accountant (“CA”) of Malaysian Institute of Accountants (“MIA”), and a member of Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (“ICAEW”), Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (“ISCA”) and ASEAN Chartered Professional Accountant (“ASEAN CPA”).

Edward has more than 10 years of combined experience in the field of audit, accounting advisory, financial control, financial analysis, and quality assurance. He worked in the Big 4 accounting firms across Malaysia and Singapore, with the last position as an Audit Manager. During his employment at the Big 4 accounting firms, he was involved in the audits of listed, non-listed and multinational companies of diversified industries. He was also a Practice Reviewer in MIA, who worked as a regulator to carry out surveillance activities on audit firms registered with MIA for quality assurance purposes.

Prior to joining CCS, Edward worked in a Minister of Finance (Incorporated) (“MOF Inc”) company. He was engaged as a Finance Manager, providing in-house technical expertise across a wide spectrum of financial areas including accounting advisory, tax advisory, corporate finance, valuation, financial due diligence, deal review, financial analysis, financial control, business process improvement, special financial assignments, special projects, and in-house training.

Edward is currently a certified trainer of Human Resource Development Corporation (“HRD Corp”) and a member of the Small and Medium Practices (“SMP”) Committee of MIA. His role in MIA is to build the capacity of SMPs, facilitate the adoption and implementation of new professional standards, promote the value of SMPs in supporting the Small and Medium Enterprises (“SME”) and represent SMPs’ interests to regulators.

With these diversified experiences, Edward strives to provide the high standard and wide spectrum of services to his clients.

Connice Lee

Senior Manager, Accounting

Connice is a highly skilled accounting professional with over a decade of expertise in finance and accountancy. Her proficiency includes financial acumen, strategic planning, regulatory compliance, and leadership, making her a valuable asset to any organisation.

In 2000, Connice began her career while studying accounting and finance at Charles Sturt University, Australia. After graduation, she worked as an Account Manager for 6 years, handling bookkeeping, accounting, payroll, and tax matters for clients. Her responsibilities included managing corporate and personal tax matters, ensuring financial accuracy, and providing valuable financial advice.

In 2006, Connice took a significant step forward in her career by joining a global investment financial information provider as a Finance Manager. Her dedication led to her promotion as Regional Finance Manager, overseeing operations in Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, India, and Shanghai. In this role, she was responsible for critical financial responsibilities, steering the organisation towards financial stability and growth and ensuring regulatory compliance across multiple countries.

Connice’s career is marked by her commitment to excellence. In 2010, she co-founded an organisation showcasing her versatility in finance, accounting, auditing, taxation, HR, secretarial, and administration. Throughout her career, she consistently pursued professional development, earning qualifications such as Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA Australia), Associate of Malaysia Institute of Taxation (CTIM), and Practicing Certified Chartered Accountant (MIA).

Following that, Connice transitioned to a secretary firm as Manager, Company Secretarial, where she gained valuable experience in secretarial and advisory roles. She later joined CCS Group as an Accounting Senior Manager, continuing to excel, honing her expertise. She remains a vital asset in the financial and accountancy realm, providing clients with expert financial advice and ensuring impeccable financial management.

Joyce Chan

Senior Manager, Tax

Joyce is a highly accomplished tax professional with over a decade of experience in the field. As the Tax Senior Manager at CCS, she manages the tax department and ensures that the firm’s clients receive the best advice on tax-related matters.

Joyce’s extensive qualifications include being an approved tax agent licensed by the Ministry of Finance, a Chartered Accountant (“CA”) of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (“MIA”), a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (“ACCA”), and a member of the Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia (“CTIM”). These certifications are a testament to her commitment to maintaining the highest ethical and professional standards in her work.

With her wealth of experience, Joyce is an expert in external audits, due diligence, personal and corporate tax compliance and tax audit, goods and services tax (“GST”), and more. During her employment, she has also participated in audits of listed and non-listed companies.

Joyce’s expertise in tax matters extends to various industries, including trading, manufacturing, investment holding, hotels, plantations, mining, construction, and property development. Her clients range from small and medium-sized firms to large corporations, and all benefit from her extensive knowledge and experience in tax planning and compliance.

Peter Ong

Manager

Peter is a highly skilled and experienced team member at our auditing firm. He holds a degree from Tunku Abdul Rahman College University and is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (“ACCA”) and the Chartered Accountants of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants. With his extensive qualifications, Peter brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our firm.

Before joining our team, Peter worked for two of the Big 4 accounting firms, PricewaterhouseCoopers (“PwC”) and KPMG Malaysia. During his tenure at these firms, he gained valuable experience auditing listed and non-listed companies. Peter’s experience spans various industries, including food and beverage, leisure, hotels, construction, property development, and shipping.

Peter is an expert in auditing and a seasoned professional in special engagements such as agreed-upon procedures, transfer pricing, and business performance advisory. Ean Wong

Ean is a highly skilled, experienced and accomplished accountant, graduated from the University of Tunku Abdul Rahman with a degree in Accounting in 2015. Following his graduation, Ean began his professional career as a junior associate at a local audit firm, where he gained valuable experience in auditing, taxation, and financial reporting.

His hard work and dedication quickly earned him recognition, and he was recruited by CCS in 2019 as a Senior Associate.

Ean has continued to excel and demonstrate his expertise in financial analysis, tax planning, and accounting standards. He has worked on various high-profile projects and has gained the respect and trust of his clients and colleagues.

In recognition of his contributions to the firm and his exceptional performance, Ean was promoted to the position of Assistant Manager in 2022. He is responsible for managing a team of accountants and overseeing the firm’s auditing and financial reporting activities.

Kat @ Kok Han Teng

Kat is currently a HR Consultant and Trainer with more than 20 years of experience in all fields of HR. Her expertise covers the scope of Compensation and Benefits, Learning and Development, Organisation Development, Performance Management, Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, Employee Engagement and HR Projects.

Her credentials include being one of the ten handpicked HR Professionals by HRCI (an HR certification body in the US) to certify HR Professionals in Malaysia. To achieve this mission of HRCI, the Human Resource Development Corporation (HRDC), in collaboration with NHRC (National Human Resource Council of Malaysia), has certified Kat in SPHRi (Senior Professional HR Certification). Kat is also certified by HRDC as an accredited trainer, a certified Program Developer, Instructor and Assessor by DETE Australia, an accredited Coach in carrying out the DISC Personality Assessment, and she is also a certified Image Consultant under two prestigious certifications of Express Executive Certification (EEC) & Advanced Certification for Image Consultants (ACIC) under SWET Advancement Centre.

Kat has a track record of completing numerous HR improvement projects for her clients and her previous corporate experience. She has worked alongside the C-suites and Senior Management Team in renowned companies such as Top Glove, Sunway Group, DHL, Dommal Food Services, Lion Group, Singtel etc.

In terms of training, she has conducted numerous HR and Soft Skills programs for Government sectors, GLCs, and corporations. Her training has been described as fun, practical and interactive by her participants with remarkable training evaluation scores.

Guided by her Personal Mission Statement of “MAD – Making a Difference”, Kat is a passionate, resourceful and positive person in helping her clients establish and execute HR improvement interventions.

He is a distinguished Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (“ACCA”), one of the world’s leading accounting bodies. He is also a member of both the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (“MIA”) and the Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia (“CTIM”), two of the most reputable professional associations in Malaysia. Additionally, he is a registered ASEAN CPA, which allows him to provide cross-border tax advice to clients across Southeast Asia.

Jacqueline joined CCS after completing her studies at Sunway University in 2010 and has become a highly valued team member.
