For small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) owners looking to obtain halal certification and improve business operations, Budget 2027 offers support in two areas.

First-time applicants may receive up to RM5,000 towards halal certification. In addition, support is available to help 4,000 micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) adopt artificial intelligence (AI) and automation.

These measures could help businesses become halal-certified and make greater use of digital tools—so there may be fewer tasks that the boss has to handle personally.
