Accessing Guardian’s E-Invoice Portal: A User Experience
Recently, I attempted to retrieve an e-invoice for an in-store purchase from Guardian through their e-invoice portal.
What I encountered was an unexpected challenge that I believe other customers should be aware of.
Guardian provides a seemingly straightforward procedure for accessing e-invoices:
Step 2 of their instructions asks customers to fill in the following details in the portal:
1) POS receipt number
2) Store Code
3) Counter Number
4) Sales Date
5) Total Receipt Amount
They also provide a sample receipt image, helpfully marked with numbers 1 to 5, presumably to guide customers on where to find each piece of required information.
However, here’s where it gets interesting: upon close inspection, I noticed that all the marked numbers on the sample receipt appear to be incorrectly placed.
This mismatch between the instructions and the visual guide could potentially confuse many customers attempting to retrieve their e-invoices.
I reached out to Guardian’s customer service to bring this to their attention, but it seems the issue wasn’t immediately understood.
For fellow Guardian customers: if you’re having trouble accessing your e-invoice, this misalignment between the instructions and the sample receipt might be the culprit.
It might be worth double-checking the information you’re entering against your actual receipt, rather than relying solely on the numbered guide in their instructions.
